Greetings from the Commander's tent. If you care to contribute to this website, email your photos, articles, videos, and other electronic media to me. ConfederateCompatriot@yahoo.com

Men,I've had discussion with Carolina Confederate Editor Ron Perdue and he informs me he is close to sending out the next issue. As you recall, this issue will be sent via electronic list without a mass printing. Please use this reminder to get your camp's distribution list in order. I know some camps intend to print copies for their members, which is a great idea for those with the ability. Also, remind your members they can subscribe to the Tar Heel list and get the newsletter direct from that. I know we will be challenged to reach every member with the electronic format. Your men will get the opportunity for an annual subscription for $5 with their MRS dues renewal. This is a great deal and convenient, affordable way to subscribe. A few subscribed from the notice in the Jan. / Feb. issue, very few. By going to this format the division will save thousands of dollars. We need to be sure the membership sees the benefit of this savings by the projects we are able to do in the near future. Best regards,Danny Bolick NC Div. Cmdr.

Our Adopt-a-Highway roster has been revamped .The following list is the new proposed roster. If for any reasonyou cannot volunteer in the time frame you have been assigned, contact me or attend the next meeting to make adjustments.             March-David Dunn,Roger Hildreth,Stan Sneed,Boone McAuley       June-Sherrell Hurley,Clem Trotter,Anthony Smith,Les Perry    Sept-Willard Dennis,Brian Brewer,Eddie Grey,Greg Bush    Decemeber-Joe Callicutt,Gary Callicutt,John Paul Callicutt,Jim Gardner

The Camp's raffle will kick off at Shiloh. A $500 gift card will be given away either as soon as all tickets are sold or at Montgomery House. There will be only 1500 ticket available. Please see either myelf or Willard at Shiloh to pick up your tickets. Let's have a little more effort than last year's sales as this will be the only fund raising we will do this year. Next year the camp will get into the onion sales that are done by many other camps. We will recieve the onions in the spring  and have a few months to sell them. We hope this will raise more money than the gift cards we raffle. Let's get this raffle done in high style. I am asking for maximum effort to get these tickets sold.

ATTENTION MEMBERS!!  Boone has graciously asked the camp to allow him to step down as Lt.Commander as his time currently has too many demands for him to perform his duties as he feels they should be done. He has agreed to serve again in the future when he has less demand for his time. We need someone to step up and fill this office ASAP.If you are willing to serve in this capacity, please step forward. If you know someone who you feel would perform these duties, send me a recommendation. We will make a decision at the next camp meeting.

ALERT!!  The camp's Troyfest event is in limbo. With only 2 members attending the June meeting, I currently have no volunteers to work this event. If no one steps forward by the 25th of June, we will cancel.
